We have recently reviewed the way we set up our antennas previously we use to use Aluminium 20 Foot (6 Metre) masts they required each section to be bolted together. They did the job. But not a pleasant task in the rain or freezing cold:)

We now use 20 Foot (6 Metre) fibre glass masts these when retracted are only 5 Foot long which means they easily fit in the back of a car.

The picture below shows the mast with a 2M/70CM Co-Linear on top.

These masts are very easy to set-up the station can be up and running in under 10 minutes. We have had a base made up that allows you to run your car wheel over it. (Any enquires about these bases please e-mail Stuart from the contacts Page). Then slot any 2” Diameter mast in to the base. In calm weather there is no need to guy the mast.
